23.03.2018   THE TREE PLANTING COMMENCES

The largest new private sector productive woodland in England in over 30 years!

As we help the coming generation get the tree planting under way I would ask us all to reflect and think upon how our actions are affecting our legacy to them.

I for one hope, that as we have achieved with Doddington North, we can develop the resources that future generations to come will probably need, whilst working to restore and maintain some of the bio-diversity that mankind’s actions might otherwise have caused us to lose.  I believe the children with us here today, and their children in the future, will thank us more for being forward looking in our actions now, rather than arguing over past failures and unlearnt lessons.

8.02.2018    FIRST TREE PLANTING SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY 23RD MARCH 2018

We are delighted to announce that tree planting will commence on Friday 23rd March 2018.  The first trees to go into the ground will be planted by local children, as the generation that will mature with the forest and be the first generation to enjoy the principal benefits of the new Doddington North Woodland.

18.10.2016   PUBLIC CONSULTATION OPEN MEETING The Black Bull Hotel, 2 High Street, Wooler, Northumberland, NE71 6BY.  5.30pm - 7pm. All welcome. The Forestry Commission, as the industry regulator, will be there to explain the process of deciding whether the project can go ahead.
